Wow! I've seen probably 1000 concerts in my life but this one tops the list! Red Rocks plus O.A.R. with a well chosen opening band, amazing weather and an incomparable audience who never sat down the whole show! Just drove back to Santa Fe today and am still buzzed from the show! Nobody sat down the whole show and even Marc acknowledged the special feel of the night.......only thing that would have made it better would have been hearing "Coalminer" live for the first time. Way to go O.A.R.! Thanks for the indelible memory you gave my 2 kids' first O.A.R. experience (son is 16 and a drummer, daughter is 9 and a violinist)...........and as for me, as much as I talk you guys up for your excellence, you might have a solid base here in Santa Fe, NM and would love you guys to come to the Paolo Soleiri theater sometime!
This was my first concert ever, and I think I made a a huge mistake - NO ONE could top this show, I have set the bar too high for all future venures. The red rocks ampitheatre was gorgeous, and the sounds were amazing. O.A.R. was right on que with their sound, and the only thing I could ask for is more, Delicate Few would have been awesome, as wood Conquering Fools, but aside from song request, the show was amazing. I am surprised they didnt play black rock, given the fact we were on top of a big rock. Never the less, the band was amazing, and OAR seemed like they didn't lose a scrap of energy all night long.
